Kia ora ē te whānau,
We are continuing to see high numbers of children and families affected by illness. Thank you for your ongoing support in keeping children at home when they are too unwell for school. This winter has certainly been one of the toughest illness seasons we have experienced in a very long time, and we know it has been challenging for many families.
School Disco Cancelled
We were really sorry to have to cancel our school disco this week. We know how disappointing this was for our tamariki, but with so much illness circulating, we felt it was the right decision for our school community. A huge thank you to our wonderful PTA for the time, energy and effort they had already put into organising the event — we really appreciate everything they do to support our school.
Cross Country Fundraiser - Amazing Success!
A huge thank you to our incredible school community for making our Cross Country Fundraiser such a success. Together, we raised over $14,000 — an amazing result!
Congratulations to our top three individual fundraisers, who each received a Kmart voucher and spot prize, and to all students who raised over $300, who received an Action Zone voucher. We also gave out an additional 45 spot prizes!
Well done to our top fundraising classes — Rooms 6/7, 12/13 and 4! These lucky classes will be getting special treats and extra playtime next week.
A special thank you to Action Zone and Flip Whangarei for generously donating vouchers, and to every child and family who sought sponsorship or made a donation. We are incredibly grateful for your support.
A huge shout out and our thanks to Whaea Rochelle for all the extra hours of work she has put in organising this fundraiser for us.
